General principles of statistical inference: population and parameters, sample and statistics. Sampling distribution and estimator properties. Confidence intervals: construction and interpretation. Hypothesis testing: general procedure. Inference for mediums: small and large samples. Inference for proportions. Inference for the variance of a normal population. Comparison of two groups: independent samples and paired samples (parametric and non-parametric). Adherence tests and contingency charts. Linear correlation. Simple linear regression.
